Tara wants to plant a peach seed from a peach she ate about a week ago. She wrapped it in tissue and declared that we were to plant this seed in the yard in no small order. Has she seen the amount of trees we have? (Back away with the chainsaws, Jay.)
At first Jay and I gave her the "That's nice, Tara" response hoping that she'd forget about it - like the time she insisted we buy this vegetable chopper from an infomercial she saw. But she is not backing down.
When I was about three years old, as the story goes from my parents, I picked up a stick and declared that this was my tree and I planted it. My parents gave me the,"That's nice, Joann" response, too. To my parents' surprise, it actually grew into a tree! They even dug it up and transplanted it to another house when we moved because I was so attached to it. I've driven by to see it over the years and now it is a huge tree. No age jokes.
I guess we are planting a peach seed today.

The stick you planted in Randolph could have had seed buds in it, so that's why it beat the odds and grew. Tara's peach seed, on the other hand, I assign a .000001% chance of actually growing into anything. Especially when I look outside as I type this. :)
I believe!
Oh and the original tree was in Bath, not Randolph. Have we met?
plant it plant it plant it! Adorable!
"Have we met?"
HAH!
I'm with you Joann...BELIEVE Jay.

I planted something once. My butt in a defendants chair. Lucky for me my tree grew and I was found not guilty.
Yours truly,
