So right now Millie is trying to get me to play with her toy and trying to eat a fly out of midair.
Emily is finally sleeping after several trips into the living room for no good reason.
Tara just went back to bed. She's been up like five times. The latest was a sobbing fest about how she doesn't want to go to first grade because that would mean leaving her beloved kindergarten teacher. I told her that she cried the same tears last year when she didn't want to leave her preschool teacher.
"I was a baby then. This is different. This is true love," sobs Tara.
I tell her that she will see her teacher around. Well, you can imagine THAT didn't go over very well. She wasn't buying it. More sobbing. Poor kid. When Tara loves someone, she REALLY loves them.

“True love”?
Wow – Tara must be an off the charts Feeler.
Try not to think about the upcoming teen years!
She really is a Feeler. What I hate is that she has such an open heart and I know someone is going to squash it some day. Kills me to think about that.
I'm wondering if the best thing we can do for the child is to quash her optimism now?
Like bring her roses and just as she is about to grab them, turn them upside-down and grind them away in a garbage disposal (true story I once heard about a mother & daughter).
LOL.
You're right Joann - we can't be the ones to smash that heart of gold, but we know some entity shall do it. But if they go over the top with it, just remember I still keep the ol' Louisville Slugger in the shed. :)
I’m with ya Jay.
If you ever need me, just call.
I know people who know people…
